The Royal National Theatre of Great Britain will hold nine auditions throughout North America this month for its 1993 summer acting program, which runs July 12-30 in London. "Course patron" will be Sir Anthony Hopkins.

Auditions will be held in the following cities: New York, March 15-16 & 25-27; Los Angeles, March 17-18; San Francisco, March 19-20; Toronto, March 17-19; Chicago, March 21-22; Dallas, March 22-23; Vancouver, March 22-23; Seattle, March 24, and Atlanta, March 24.Auditions are individually scheduled and conducted through Atlantic Overtures, 4335 Parker St., Omaha, NE 68111. - THE OXFORD SCHOOL OF DRAMA is also accepting applications from American and Canadian students for its 1993 summer acting course. The intensive, four-week course runs from July 19 to Aug. 13 in Oxford.

Actresses Jane Lapotaire and Diana Rigg will be among the professional tutors offering masters classes. Tickets to performances at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and the Royal National Theatre are included as part of the course.
