Deven Scott Whittaker, age 15, died April 7, 1993 of injuries sustained in a sky diving accident near his home in Roseville, California.
Deven was an active young man with many interests. He was an avid snowboard enthusiast. He enjoyed and excelled in football and was looking forward to playing high school football in the Fall. Deven also enjoyed water sports, golf, and many outdoor activities.Deven is survived by his mother, L. Rolene Whittaker; father, V. Scott Whittaker and stepmother, Jan Hill Whittaker; half brothers and dear friends, Justin H. Whittaker, Jaxon H. Whittaker; grandmother, Lola C. Whittaker; grandfather, Robert Vest, step grandparents, L. Jim and Carolyn Hill; great grandmother, Dora Chamberlain, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Devin will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He will be remembered for his gentle and loving manner.
A memorial service will be held Monday, April 12 in Roseville, California. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 14, 11 a.m. at the Mueller Park 4th Ward Chapel, 1320 East 1975 South (or 2050 So.) Bountiful, where friends may call 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary.
