Saints unload Hebert, sign Wilson
NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Saints let quarterback Bobby Hebert go and signed Atlanta's Wade Wilson to a three-year contract averaging about $2 million a year. General manager Jim Finks said Hebert, an unrestricted free agent who has been shopping for another team, will not be offered a contract.
Bills will match 49ers offer to Wright
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - The Buffalo Bills will match San Francisco's offer to nose tackle Jeff Wright, general manager John Butler said. Officially, the Bills have until Wednesday to match the offer sheet, but Butler said the Bills have decided to equal the $6 million package.
Vikings sign Salisbury
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. - The Minnesota Vikings signed free agent quarterback Sean Salisbury, who spent last year alternating as the team's starter with Rich Gannon. Salisbury, 30, reportedly agreed to a one-year contract for $1.5 million.

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Keith Dambrot was fired as coach at Central Michigan University just over a week after being suspended for using a racially derogatory term in front of his team.
Indians' Baerga, Phillies' Kruk honored
NEW YORK - Cleveland Carlos Baerga, who hit .520 last week and became the first player in the majors to hit a home run from both sides of the plate in the same inning, was named AL player of the week. Philadelphia's John Kruk was honored in the NL.
