Bryant Porter, age 80, died Tuesday, April 6, 1993, Kaiser Hospital, Los Angeles, California.

He had resided in South Pasadena, California since 1952. Born March 3, 1913 in Escalante, Utah, the son of Andrew R. and Lenora Porter. He grew up and attended school in Escalante. He then joined the C.C.C.s and was stationed in Bountiful, Utah, where he met his wife Margaret Anne Edwards.He will be remembered affectionately for a sense of humor and was always open for a good debate! He was an avid reader and enjoyed poetry and dancing. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who were a part of his life.

He is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Rae Porter, Alhambra, Calif.; and Arlene Porter Pichotta, Wilton, Conn.; five grandchildren, Brett Porter, Kimberly and Heather Pichotta, Megan and Andrew Porter; sister, Eloise O'Neill; brother, Randal Porter. Preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; son, Richard; and his sister, Wauretta (Rita) Ferber.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 15, 1993 at 11 a.m. in the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, where friends may call Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
