Roscoe Conklin Hardy, age 102, died Thursday April 22, 1993 at the home of a grandson, Kenneth Hardy, in Provo, Utah.
Born June 17, 1890 in Salt Lake City to Owen Smoot and Sarah Luella Hansen Hardy. Married Kathleen Varley Hardy April 3, 1915 in Salt Lake City. She died May 20, 1969. He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving for many years as the Sunday School superintendent in Baggs, Wyoming Ward. He and his wife Kathleen were mission guides at the Brigham City, Utah LDS Tabernacle 1961-63. He worked for many years as caretaker in both the Willard City and Salt Lake City Cemeteries.Survived by children, Katherine and husband O. Marion Jones, Craig, Colorado; Louis R. Hardy and wife Fran, Damariscotta, Maine; and Olive and husband Garth S. Lunt, Pima, Arizona; nine grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren; sister, Luella Hardy, Sandy, Utah.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 26, 1993, at 11 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
