Our loving father, brother, and Uncle, Gus Giannopoulos, age 58, passed away April 28, 1993 in Salt Lake City.
Born August 8, 1934 in Tegeis, Greece to Mario A. and Theodora Glezos Giannopoulos. He was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church. Member AHEPA, Arcadian Brothers, and Athanasios Diakos societies. Graduated from Granite High School and attended the U. of U.Survived by his children: Patricia and Sandra Giannopoulos; brother and sisters, Kris and Sam Takas of Salt Lake City; Alexandra Ganas of Greece; and Ted Giannopoulos of Salt Lake City; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 1, 1993, at 11 a.m., at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 279 South 300 West. Friends may call Friday evening April 30th, from 6:30-8:00. at Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, where prayer services will be held at 7:30 pm.. Interment, Mt. Olivet. Funeral directors, Deseret Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Trinity Cathedral.
