Edith Norton Cox, age 75, passed away April 5, 1993 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born May 10, 1917 in Panguitch, Utah to Taylor and Dean Smith Norton. Married James E. Cox, September 4, 1936 in Panguitch; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.She was an active member of the LDS Church; taught Sunday School, worked in the Primary and a member of the Relief Society. She worked for O.C. Tanner for many years. She loved to read mysteries and the scriptures. She was loved by her neighbors, friends and family.

Survived by her husband, James; children, Leslie A. Stone, Layton; Carol A. Morris, Nashville, Tennessee; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jack, Ken, Gene and Reid Norton, Cecil Williams and Beth Partner; preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Lola Robb, a grandchild, Lisa A.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 9, 1993 at 11 a.m. at Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, where friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to services. Interment: Sandy City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Deseret Mortuary.
