Samuel Clore Curtright, 84, died May 27, 1993 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was born June 8, 1908 in Missouri to Benjamin Bristow and Sarah Elizabeth Hitt Curtright. Married Edythe Neal June 20, 1946 in Vernal, Utah. Veteran of World War II, serving in the US Army. Educated in Kirksville, Missouri and North East Missouri State University. Attended Colombia University in New York City where he completed a masters degree. He was superintendent of schools in Missouri and later worked for MacMillan Publishing Company. He later founded the Bel Canto Music Studio for which Edythe taught voice lessons to students from all over the world. Sam and Edythe were both patrons of the arts in Salt Lake City, New York and Francisco.Survived by his wife, Edythe; and sister, Imogene Glasgow. Preceded in death by a brother, Jack Simpson Curtright, and a sister, Nancy Curtright.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the St. Vincent DePaul Center, 427 West 200 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84101.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, June 2, 1993, 10 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 East South Temple. Entombment, Mount Calvary Cemetery, 4th Avenue and 'T' Street. Funeral directors, Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary.
