Ruth Ludlow Pierce, 43, beloved wife and mother of six children, passed away on May 7, 1993 at McKay-Dee Hospital from complications resulting from surgery.

She was born November 29, 1949 in Logan, Utah. She was raised in Provo, graduated from Provo High, and attended Utah State University. She married LeRoy Nate Pierce on August 7, 1970 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.She was a well-known artisan and operated her own gift boutique. She had lived in Ogden for the past nine years. Her greatest love was her family. She was a supportive mother and wife who was actively involved in school functions and served in many PTSA positions. She always encouraged excellence in her children's endeavors. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in numerous capacities. She enjoyed life to the fullest, had boundless energy, and was always involved in helping others in need. She gave love and, in return, was loved by all. She will be missed by family, friends and associates.

Surviving are husband, LeRoy Nate Pierce; four daughters, Danielle, Nicolette, Natalie and Amber; and two sons, Brigham and Brandon, all of Ogden. Also surviving are parents, Daniel H. and Luene Ludlow, Provo; one brother, Victor Ludlow, Provo; seven sisters, Sandra Ludlow, Orem; Diane Asay, Orem; LuAnn Rothe, Longmont, Colorado; Carolyn Sweeny, Bloomington, Indiana; Kathy Smith, Sandy; Shauna Smith, Salt Lake; and Michelle Judd, Orem.

Funeral services will be held at Weber Heights Stake Center, 1401 Country Hills Drive, Ogden on Wednesday, May 12, at 11 a.m. Viewings will be held at Lindquist Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., Ogden, on Tuesday, May 11, 6-8 p.m. and at the church one hour prior to services. Interment will be held at Ogden City Cemetery following the services.
