Entertainer Bill Cosby is making another try at buying NBC - even though the network insists it is not for sale, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday.
Cosby is working with Goldman, Sachs & Co, the investment banking firm, to put together a new offer to General Electric Co., owner of the network, the paper quoted industry sources as saying.The actor-comedian earlier explored buying NBC but was unable to come up with backing to match the $3.5 billion to $4 billion GE was reported to be asking, the paper said.
Asked to comment, Cosby told the Journal, "I am not in the habit of commenting on things that are not finished." He did not elaborate.
