Robert Daley, age 88, died peacefully, June 23, 1993 at 10:19 a.m., surrounded by a large loving family.

He was born October 13, 1904 at Payson, Utah, the fifth of fourteen children of Graham and Margaret Simonds Daley. He married Rosella Pearl Garrard, February 8, 1932 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.He is survived by his wife and six children: James, Fairview, Utah; Robert, Springville, Utah; Mrs. Don (Lillian) O'Hara, Sandy; John, Orem; Joseph, Mt. Pleasant, and Janet Russell, of Moab; 51 grandchildren, 90 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and one on the way; two brothers: Glen, St. George; and Matt Daley of Mona; three sisters: Mrs. Oral (Winona) Wood, Mrs. Harold (Mary) Diamond, Mrs. Norris (Madge) Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, two sisters.

He was a great man who we love and honor. There will be no one like him and we will miss him dearly. He loved poetry and some of the last words he uttered were of the poem

"Snowbound".

He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He held many positions in his life. He served several stake missions and with his eternal sweetheart served two missions. In his early years he was a boxer and held the title of Welter-weight Champion of the Western States.

Services will be Sat., June 26, 1993, 11 a.m. in the Payson Eighteenth LDS Ward Chapel, 779 South 700 West. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Friday, 6-8 p.m. or at the church Saturday, 10-10:45 a.m.
