Alma Huber, 88, died June 2, 1993 at his home in Midway.
Born December 30, 1904 in Park City, Utah to John Martin and Elizabeth Gertsch Huber. Married Nettie Francis Smith, November 3, 1931 in the St. George Temple. She died April 7, 1987.Lifelong resident of Midway, where he was a farmer and rancher. Held numerous church and civic positions in Wasatch County and Midway. Active member of the LDS Church, serving as bishop of Midway 2nd Ward. Served in the Swiss German Mission and later with his wife in the Texas South Mission. Served many years as a Provo Temple worker. He and his wife were honored as Midway's Outstanding Citizens. Served as president of Midway Irrigation Co., on the Wasatch County Selective Service Board, Midway and Wasatch County Planning and Zoning Commission and on many county agricultural committees.
Survived by sons and daughters, Douglas and Donna Huber, Walnut Creek, California; Don and Arlene Huber, Logan; Edith and Jack Young, Heber City; Annette and Larry Giles, Provo; Mark and Colleen Huber, Twin Falls, Idaho; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Marguerite Huber, Midway; John H. Huber, Sacramento, California; Mrs. Reed (Hattie) Walsh, Bountiful; James R. Huber, Provo; Mrs. Jack (Vera) Carlson, Charleston. Preceded in death by sisters and brother, Eva Wilson, Clara, Martin, Matilda, and Edith Huber.
Funeral services Friday, 1 p.m., Midway 3rd Ward, 165 North Center. Friends may call at Olpin Mortuary, Thursday, 6:30 to 8 p.m. and at the church Friday, one hour prior to services. Burial: Midway Cemetery.
