The new owner of Dr. Robert C. Davis' defunct West Jordan Medical Center sought a restraining order Friday to prevent West Jordan Police from keeping the center closed - but the request was denied.
DeEtte Gerbich bought the center, 1519 W. 9000 South, from Davis, who was convicted of Medicaid fraud in the early part of May, said West Jordan City Attorney Stephen Homer."She (Gerbich) filed another lawsuit with Judge Frank Noel to keep the center open," he said. "She was denied."
The lawsuit is the latest in an ongoing battle to keep the center open, Homer said.
Davis apparently sold the center to Gerbich for $1.
