Lawrence Raymond Nelson, Sr., age 102, died July 10, 1993.

Born December 9, 1890 in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Past principal, superintendent of Schools, organized the first Boy Scout troop in Provo. Worked as a chemist for the U.S. Government, deputy assessor for Clark County for 15 years. Married for 75 years.Survived by wife, Lucinda Leavitt Nelson, Las Vegas; sons, Lawrence R. Nelson, Jr., St. George; Donald L. Nelson, Las Vegas, Nev.; daughters, Marjorie Johansen, Las Vegas, Nev.; AnnaFern Pinkham, Las Vegas, Nev.; 18 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; brother, Vern S. Nelson, Provo.

Funeral services at the LDS Chapel 6th Ward, West Charleston, Wednesday, July 14, at 11 a.m., where friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, and one hour prior to services. Interment, Bunker Memorial Gardens. Funeral directors, Bunker Mortuary in Las Vegas, Nevada.
