Weber State University has appointed four new department heads and reappointed five others, effective July 1.
Professor Helen J. James, who joined the university in 1971, will be the new chairwoman of the chemistry department.Associate Professor Roydon O. Julander, who joined the university in 1960, will be the new chairman of the political science department.
Professor Leland B. Sather, who joined the university in 1970, will head the history department.
Professor Benne Williams, who joined the university in 1966, will head the psychology department.
Reappointed as department chairman are: Richard M. Alston, economics; Raymond H. Clark, social work and gerontology; J. Ronald Galli, physics; James R. McBeth, visual arts; and Samuel Zeveloff, zoology.
