Samoan members of the Salt Lake Hunter LDS Stake stroll down Main Street during the annual Days of '47 Youth Parade Saturday in Salt Lake City. Hundreds of tots - accompanied by their parents - watched as more than 4,000 costumed children, floats and clowns, turned Main Street into a giant playground. The Youth Parade - billed as the nation's largest - and the Horse Parade, which was held Friday night, kicked off the annual celebration marking the arrival of the Mormon pioneers 146 years ago in the Salt Lake Valley. A week's worth of festivities will culminate Saturday with a sunrise service at the Tabernacle on Temple Square; the Deseret News Marathon and 10K run; the Days of '47 24th of July Pioneer Parade; and the Neighborhood Fair and fireworks at Liberty Park.
