A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday, July 30, in the Fashion Place Mall marking the opening of a second Miller Stockman Western Wear outlet in Utah. The other is located in the Valley Fair Mall.
"We are excited to be opening our second store in the Salt Lake area. We have long thought this area would be the ideal showcase for our updated, fashion-oriented Western apparel stores," said Ron Schmitz, Miller Stockman president.The 3,000 square-foot store will feature such names as Justin, Nocona, Abilene and Zodiac boots for men and women, Stetson and Resistol hats and Wrangler, Levi and Rocky Mountain Jeans for men and women.
During the 10-day grand opening, Miller Stockman will donate $5 from the sale of every pair of boots to the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association, which provides horseback riding for people with disabilities.
Salt Lake native Cydney Garland is manager of the new store. She previously worked for Wolfe's Sporting Goods and Herman Sporting Goods.
