Ready for yet another theory on how Marilyn Monroe died? A new book says the actress was killed by Mafia hitmen on the orders of Joseph Kennedy Sr.
In the cumbersomely titled "Crypt 33: The Saga of Marilyn Monroe - The Final Word," private investigator Milo Speriglio and co-author Adela Gregory say the murder was masterminded by Chicago mob boss Sam Giancana, acting at Joe Kennedy's behest.The screen siren allegedly had affairs with two of Kennedy's sons, President John F. Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy. Sper-iglio says their dad thought Monroe would derail their political careers, so he decided to get rid of her.
The book says JFK knew of the plot but RFK was kept in the dark.
