LaNeta Simmons Foy, age 82, passed away August 11, 1993 in Salt Lake City.

Born September 28, 1910 in Charleston, Utah, daughter of Joseph Benjamin and Elsie Kerby Simmons. Married Cecil Edward Foy April 24, 1930 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Active member of the LDS Church, having served as a wonderful teacher and avid genealogist. She lovingly shared her many talents with her children, grandchildren, and many others. Her sweet spirit will always be a special part of our lives.We will miss her and anxiously await a grand reunion with her in the future.

With her husband, she served a stake mission in Salt Lake City and served full time in the Las Vegas, Nevada Mission.

Survived by Cecil, her husband of 63 years; daughters, Nancy and husband, John T. Elder of Sandy; Margaret (Meg) and husband, R. Michael Treseder, Mesa, Ariz.; son, John Kerby Foy, Hollywood, Calif.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by infant son, Ronald Cecil Foy; two grandchildren, Rick and Megan Treseder; eight brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., at the Grant 8th Ward, 3400 South 1100 East. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 So. Redwood Road, and Saturday, at the church, one hour prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
