WHAT WORKS

This is a good grasshopper stream. Good choice would be a Dave's Hopper. Good flies would be Royal Wulff, Elk Hair Caddis, Adams and yellow or green stimulator. For wet flies and nymphs try larger Prince Nymphs, Matt's Fur Nymph and Double Renegade.

DETAILS

Water tends to be a little clouded, so fish don't seem to be as spooky. Easier to approach fishing spots. Use dry flies mornings and evenings, then switch to nymphs in the middle of the day. Look for the deeper pools for the largest fish.

NOTES

This is a good fly stream in a beautiful setting. Good spot for the intermediate to avid fly fishermen. Good access to most areas, but does run through about three miles of private land near Hatch. Fish run in the 7- to 14-inch range. Catchable rainbow planted in upper section, also fingerling browns and cuts.
