I think the people of Salt Lake City should know that their mayor fired the sexton of S.L. City Cemetery, yet they still have to pay him as his contract is not up.
Next, they now charge $75 for the privilege of placing a marker on a loved one's grave.We had planned on having a marker placed on great-grandparents' grave and were happy that between some of us we saved to buy this, then to our surprise we hear we need $75 more for the privilege of putting it there. Why this charge, I don't know. I'm glad our cemetery plots are in the county.
