La Vaun Clark Viko died peacefully at her home in Salt Lake City of heart failure on September 21, 1993 at the age of 90.
Born January 25, 1903 in Farmington, Utah to Esther and Nathan Clark, one of 13 children. Married Dr. Louis E. Viko on July 9, 1927. He preceded her in death on January 19, 1968.Graduated from the L.D.S. School of Nursing in 1925 and practiced at the L.D.S. Hospital until her marriage. An active member of the Salt Lake Literary Club and The Salt Lake Country Club. She loved to play bridge. She was very artistic and her talents were in fine china painting, knitting, needlepoint and cooking.
Survived by her daughter, Margaret E. Coombs (Jack) of Salt Lake City and Paul E. Viko (Frances) of White Plains, New York, as well as five granchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Thursday at 3 p.m., Sept. 23rd at the family plot in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 4th Ave and T Street.
