Reforming the nation's health-care system, baking cookies - Hillary Rodham Clinton can do it all.
Hillary Clinton's cookie recipe tied for top honors in a test conducted by Consumer Reports magazine. Ten fresh-baked and 25 packaged brands of chocolate chip cookies were sampled. The magazine's "trained tasters" had these comments on Clinton's recipe: "Delicate crispness, chewy; smooth, chocolatey chips." The Clinton cookies shared the top spot with the Original Nestle Toll House recipe.
The Clinton recipe became public during the presidential campaign. Clinton, defending her pursuit of a career as a lawyer, commented, "I suppose I could have stayed home and baked cookies and had teas."
Outraged homemakers felt that was a slap at them; the Clinton spin doctors had Hillary give her recipe to Family Circle magazine.
