Our beloved husband, father, son, and friend, Allen Barlow
Zitting, age 39, returned to Heavenly Father September 24, 1993 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.He was born December 14, 1953 in Murray, Utah, a son of Allen Christensen and Laura Jean Barlow Zitting. His father passed away on December 12, 1957.
Allen married Claudia Jessop on August 30, 1977. He married Lucene Hammon on July 25, 1987. allen was a unique individual, a perfectionist, a tease, who adored his family and loved life. He held various positions in local and national pigeon associations.
He will be deeply missed.
Allen is survived by his wives; 13 children, Laura, Lydia, Allen, Arland, Adam, Andrew, Abraham, Anthony-James, Lorna, Aaron, Alexander, Aeryk and Linda; parents, Ernest C. and Laura Jean Van Bibber; three brothers, Joel B. and his wife, Lynne Zitting of Deer Park, Wash.; Benjamin B. and his wife, Jean Zitting of Midvale, Utah; and Michael Van Bibber, currently serving an LDS mission in Geneva, Switzerland; two sisters, Sarah Ann Green of Kaysville; and Heather Van Bibber of Provo. He was preceded in death by his father; and grandparents, Charles F. and Edna Zitting and Ianthus W. and Cleo Barlow.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 26, 1993, 2 p.m., at the Community Center in Centennial Park, Arizona, where friends may call Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Sunday, one hour prior to services. There will also be viewing on Monday morning, September 27, 1993, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon, at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple in Salt Lake City. Burial will follow at the Elysian Gardens in Salt Lake City under the direction of the Spilsbury-Desert Rose Mortuary in St. George.
