Ted Hall hates it when he can't light up during an airline flight. He fidgets, he's restless and often resorts to chewing tobacco and spitting in a small paper cup.
"It's just murder," said the retired airline pilot.Now, he's trying to solve the problem and make money, too.
His charter air service for smokers, Freedom Air, is scheduled to take off for the first time Tuesday round trip between Chicago's O'Hare International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport.
The unrestricted fare is $396 round trip or $198 one way..

By Thursday, only about 40 of the 150 seats on the inaugural flight were booked. But Hall said he was confident that when word gets out, the smokers will come.
