Aileen "Mimi" Mineau, 82, joined her loving husband, Ray, on January 11, 1994.
Aileen was born August 10, 1911 in Oakland, California to Sylvanus and Martha Edwards. She married Ray Mineau on April 22, 1933. He preceded her in death on April 6, 1967. She was a resident of Salt Lake City for ten years and former long time resident of Newark, Delaware and LaMarque, Texas, where she was an active leader in many community organizations.Sensitive, creative, and artistic, she expressed her talent in many ways, especially painting and flower arranging. She loved travel, music and theater. An intensely caring wife and mother, her greatest love was her family.
In spite of many personal trials, she tried whenever she could to bring sunshine into the lives of those around her.
Survived by her son, Ed, daughter-in-law, Geri, and grandson, Raymond Mineau, Salt Lake City.
Mimi will be greatly missed by her family and many friends throughout the country.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 15, 10 a.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive. Burial will be in Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Utah Symphony.
