Our beloved Nana, Maurine Pitt Streuling, 54, passed away peacefully at her hone in Orem, Utah on January 14, 1994 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born May 24, 1939 in Vernal, Utah to James Melvin and Estella Hall Pitt and married G. Fred Streuling on December 28, 1960 in the Salt Lake Temple.Maurine was an active member of the LDS Church; she loved her callings in the Primary, Young Women and in the Relief Society, both on the ward and stake levels. She will be greatly missed in her Canyon View ward and stake.
Devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Maurine was also a dear friend who touched many lives. Her selfless service and kindness will not be forgotten.
Survived by her husband of 33 years; two sons: G. Kent Streuling of Layton and Kirk M. Streuling of Lehi; two daughters: Krista Streuling and Kara Streuling, both of Orem; and four grandsons: Chase, Michael, Kip and Zachary. Also survived by four sisters: Hazel Little, Francis Southam, Lola Mae Litster, Colleen Preece, and six brothers: Tom Daly, Leon, Paul, Warren, Harold and Ed Pitts. She was preceded in death by her parents, and five brothers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 15, 1994 at 11 a.m. in the Orem Canyon View Stake Center, 575 East 800 No., Orem. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 600 East 800 North, Orem, and Saturday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the stake center. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
