Barbara Nell Rasmussen Naturale passed away at her home in Missoula, Montana on January 10, 1994 following a long illness.

Barbara's adventure with life began on August 13, 1926 when she was born in Price, Utah to Lawrence M. and Mary Jane Olsen Rasmussen. Growing up in Price, she was active in music, dance, drama, school and church. She married Paul C. Naturale on June 14, 1944 in Ogden, and she worked there while Paul was in pre-med studies. They moved to Cincinnati, Ohio for his major medical training; then returned to Salt Lake City where he served his residency. When it was time for Dr. Paul to "hang up his shingle," they moved to Missoula along with little daughter, Paulette. Son "Beau" was born soon after. Barbara was constantly busy with home, church, schools, community service; also sewing, quilting, cooking - all the things she loved to do. She dedicated herself completely to any task, but she did not seek nor expect accolades and was content for credit to go to others. She loved her "mountain home" where everyone was welcome, including members of the animal kingdom. She loved and appreciated deer, bears, raccoons, and other animals that came into her yard for food she provided. A few years ago, Barbara realized a long-time dream when she and her family founded "Natch's," a craft and hobby shop. Her talents and personality are apparent everywhere in the shop, and her customers loved her.

Throughout the past year, Barbara suffered cruelly from the ravages of cancer which she fought with great courage. IN spite of pain and distress, she attended to her daily duties at home and in he business with dignity and cheerfulness. She was inspiration to others. She is deeply missed by family and associates.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Paul C. Naturale; daughter, Paulette Naturale; son, Paul (Beau) Naturale and wife Laura; two grandsons, Paul and David Naturale, all of Missoula, Mont.; also by three sisters, Beverly (Paul) Holbrook of Butte, Mont.; Marie (Jack) Cook, Salt Lake City; Jessie Holdaway, Price; and a brother, Arthur (Alice) Rasmussen, Price. Preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Morris Rasmussen.

Services were held on January 12, 1994, at the LDS 4th Ward Chapel in Missoula followed by burial in Missoula Cemetery.

If anyone wishes to contribute in Barbara's name, her family suggests donations to American Cancer Society.
