Gwynn agreed Tuesday to a two-year contract extension through 1997 that virtually guarantees he will finish his career in San Diego.Gwynn currently is in the middle of a four-year contract that will pay him $3.25 million in 1994 and $4.25 million in 1995, making him the highest-paid member of the Padres. The extension calls for a guaranteed $4 million a year in 1996 and 1997.
