Utah's newest Travelodge, built on the former Madison Elementary School grounds, will open Monday, Oct. 17.
The 65-room hotel, which has an indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and hot tub, is part of South Salt Lake's redevelopment project, in effect since 1988.Knight Brothers Construction was general contractor for the project with Moe Myers as project architect. First Security Bank provided financing.
A grand opening celebration will be conducted from noon to 2 p.m. Oct. 17.
