Megahertz Holding Corp., 605 N. 5600 West, which supplies solution-oriented mobile data communication products, is merging with U.S. Robotics Inc., Skokie, Ill., a company providing desktop and data center communications systems.
The transaction has been approved by the boards of the two companies and is subject to shareholder approval and regulatory agency clearance."U.S. Robotics and Megahertz will create a strong information access company that will offer complete solutions for both corporate and individual communications needs in a rapidly developing and increasingly competitive market," said Casey Howell, U.S. Robotics chairman.
