Don Arlen Housekeeper, 74, of Orem, died Wednesday, October 26, 1994 in Provo, Utah.
He was born June 30, 1920 in Sugarville, Utah, a son of John Iris and Enid Rosemae Peterson Housekeeper. He married Shirley Evans March 7, 1942 in Spanish Fork, Utah. The marriage was later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died November 22, 1988. He married Theora Sundquist Pulley, August 22, 1990 in the Provo LDS Temple. He worked for the CCC from July, 1938 until June of 1940. He was in the Army during World War II serving in the Pacific Theatre. He worked for 35 years for Geneva Steel Company as a crane operator.He was a volunteer at the Senior Citizen Center in Provo and was a member of the CB Rescue Services. He enjoyed ceramics, rock hounding, dancing and camping. He was an active High Priest of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served as a Scoutmaster and a ward clerk.
He is survived by his wife, Theora, of Orem; four sons and two daughters, Don E. and Linda Housekeeper, Ross Housekeeper, both of Orem; Arlen and Beverly Housekeeper, Carson City, Nevada; Rose Mary Evans, St. George; John J. Housekeeper, Provo; Jeri and L eon Deitlaf, Pleasant Grove; four step daughters and a step son; Vernessa Reed, and Arnold Pulley, both of Provo; Bernice and Kim Chesnut, Pleasant Grove; Barbara and Craig Jensen, Layton; Katherine and John Horne, Bellevue, Wash.; 25 grandchildren; three brothers and four sisters, Ruby Christensen, Doyne Clark, Gary Housekeeper, Hal Housekeeper, all of Provo; Anna Mae Bernadot, Salt Lake City; Maxine Rowland, Pleasant Grove; Claren Housekeeper, Orem; and an uncle, Dean Housekeeper. He was preceded by his parents.
Funeral services Monday, October 31, at 11 a.m. in the Suncrest Seventh Ward Chapel, 891 West 130 North, Orem. Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 600 East 800 North, Orem, and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the ward chapel. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by VFW District #4.
