Doris Lila Hawker Mackey, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away in her home at the age of 58.

She was born on October 14, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of James Palmer and Phyllis Pickering Hawker. She and her family moved to Provo when she was seven years old, where she later attended BY High School and B.Y.U. She married Darrell Kay Mackey on November 18, 1955 in the Manti LDS Temple. She was a member of the LDS Church, living in the Grandview 1st Ward. Doris was interested in oil painting and creative arts. She will be remembered for her love and kindness to others and will be greatly missed by family and friends.She is survived by her loving husband, Darrell of Provo, Utah; one son and three duaghters: Michael Mackey, of Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs. Michael (Allison) Robbins, of Sandy, Utah; Mrs. Jay (Karen) Mitchell, Mrs. Lee (Leslie) French, both of Orem, Utah; seven grandchildren: Brigitte, Carly, Chelsea, Colin, Alexandra, Wade, Brett; and two sisters: Alora Hawker, Mrs. David (Annette) Spackman, both of Orem, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 10, 1994 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grandview 1st Ward LDS Chapel, 1555 No. 1350 West, Provo,also Sunday and Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center. Friends may call at the ward chapel on Monday, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Interment: East Lawn Memorial Hills, Provo; under the direction of Berg Mortuary of Provo.
