William Fred VanZandt, Jr., age 73, passed away November 9, 1994 at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born August 3, 1921 in Stillwater, Okla., the son of Fred DeLouis and Martha Susan Houston VanZandt. Married Zina Walser, on January 28, l978 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death July 29, l989.Served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a medic. High Priest in LDS Church. He was employed by the LDS Church and after retirement, he worked as a volunteer at the Bishop's Storehouse. Bill was a devoted father who loved to be with his children and grandchildren and he will be greatly missed by all.
Survived by three daughters and one son, Susan Ball (husband, Holland), Arkansas; Steven VanZandt, Roy, Utah; Cindy (husband, Kelly) Moore, Layton, Utah; and Nancy Johnson, Garland, Utah; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and a brother, Edward VanZandt, Stillwater, Oklahoma. Preceded in death by brother, Jimmy VanZandt and sister, Martha JoAnne VanZandt.
Funeral services Monday, November 14, at 11 a.m., Salt Lake 14th Ward, 142 West 200 North Street, where friends may call 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Garland Cemetery, Box Elder County, Utah.
