Lyle Darrel Farr died November 17, 1994, in a Salt Lake City hospital after a valiant struggle with multiple illnesses.
He accomplished many things, but will be most remembered as an exceptional husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. It was in his family that he worked his miracles-always giving, loving and always there.He was born May 22, 1916, in Logan, Utah, the son of Rodney Keith and Blanche Larsen Farr. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Rodney Keith, Jr. and Glen L. Farr, and a sister, Arletta Green. Married Fae Clark on October 20, 1943, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He is survived by his bride of 51 years, Fae; daughters, Linda (Lowell M., Jr.) Durham, Carole (John M.) Inglish, Janice (James B.) Smith, and sons, Keith L. (Jeannie) Farr and Kendall C. (Cheryl) Farr; 22 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Lowell A. (Naomi) Farr and many nieces and nephews.
Lyle worked 51 years for the Union Pacific Railroad. He was an active member of the LDS Church. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and skiing with the family. Just a thought of him brings a smile to the face of anyone who knew him. He lived the life of the family on the highest level. He was the happiness at the center of our family.
Funeral services will be 12 noon, Monday, November 21, 1994, at the East Mill Creek 9th Ward Chapel, 3750 South Hillside Lane (2500 East). There will be a viewing Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, and Monday at the Ward Chapel from 10:30 - 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
