Provo police investigators still have no suspect in the mutilations of animals on a northwest Provo farm Halloween night.

Provo police Capt. George Pierpont said during the night someone broke into a shed, 2035 W. 820 North, containing several chickens and animals and began stabbing and mutilating them. The farm's owners discovered the remains of several dead roosters Tuesday morning. In some instances, the chickens had been stabbed and the heads ripped or cut off. Also, the suspect or suspects stabbed a pet pot-bellied pig and either stole or killed three "bronze" turkeys.

"We're not sure what the motives were," Pierpont said, "but it was a really ugly scene."

While the pig survived the stabbing, the turkeys are believed dead after investigators found body parts, including feathers, scattered around the grounds. Damage in the incident could be as high as $500.
