Dr. Clifford Earl Conklin, 84, passed away November 1, 1994 at his home in Salt Lake City.
Born February 27, 1910 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin to Earl J. and Gertrude Zimmerman Conklin. Married Asenath Smith, June 27, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She passed away August 3, 1982. Married Carita Harriet Aschenbach, November 28, 1983 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Graduated from Kirksville, Missouri College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1933, beginning his practice in Beaver Dam & Reedsburg, Wisconsin. In 1938, he moved to Salt Lake, practicing here for 52 years.
Member Utah Osteopathic Association, Salt Lake Lions Club and Sons of Utah Pioneers. An active member of the LDS Church, Clifford enjoyed attending the temple.
Survivors, wife (Carita); sons and daughters, Robert Smith (Patti) Conklin, David and Mark Jacobs; Jean C. (Bonnie) Tippets and Patsy Anderson; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Russell, Roger, Robert, Vernon, Jeanette Kelly, Blanche Hall and Doris. Preceded in death by son, Clifford Charles and grandson, David Troy Tippetts.
Funeral services Monday, Nov. 7, 1994, 12 noon, Salt Lake 33rd Ward, 453 South 1100 East. Friends may call Sunday, 6-8 pm, at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple and Monday at the church, one hour prior to services.
Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
