Leo George Bateman, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away after much suffering on November 7, 1994. His life was dedicated to service and charity.

Born December 1, 1909 in Sandy, Utah, to George Leo and Milrhea Cushing Bateman. Married Gladys M. Bateman in the Salt Lake Temple, October 14, 1929. Leo was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Served in the presidency of the Seventies and High Priest quorum.He loved sports, music and dancing. Was a basketball coach. He will be remembered for his service and generosity.

He is survived by wife, Gladys; son, Kent Bateman, Park City; four grandchildren, Derek, Justine, Jason and Jordan; and two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua; brother, Noal C. Bateman; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services Friday, Nov. 11, 1994 at 12 noon in the Grant 4th Ward Chapel, 1111 Charlton Avenue (2810 South). Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 So. Highland Drive on Thursday, Nov. 10, 1994 from 6-8 p.m. and at the ward Friday from 11-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
