Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell was married Saturday to Heather MacLachlan, a sports marketing consultant and his fiancee of eight months.
The private ceremony was performed by the Rev. William Tully of St. Bartholomew's Church. Mitchell's office wouldn't disclose the location or any other details."This is a private and happy day for them which they chose to share with family and a few close friends," Mitchell's spokeswoman, Diane Dewhirst, said.
It was the second marriage for Mitchell, 61, who divorced his first wife. It was the first marriage for MacLachlan, 36.
