Theodore "Ted" Thomas, age 95, died December 13, 1994 in Price.

He was born August 2, 1899 in Wellington, Utah. The son of Fred J. and Lula Christian Thomas. Married Millicent (Millie) Stewart, December 22, 1923, Evanston, Wyoming. Member United Methodist Church of Price. Past master Kings Peak Lodge #32 of Roosevelt. Member and past master Carbon Lodge #16 F&A.M. where he was presently serving as treasurer. Member York Rite and other Masonic affiliations. Lifetime member Price Elk's Lodge #1550. He was also a member of the Moose Club. After World War I, Ted drove the mail truck for the U.S. Mail and was instrumental in delivering the bricks to build the Bank of Vernal. Ted and his brother, Harvey, owned and operated Price Garage. Former machinist of Independent Coal and Coke. Ted also was a farmer in the Uintah Basin. Member and past post commander of Price American Legion Post #3. Member of the Last Squad of World War I. Ted was one of the two surviving members of a group of one hundred veterans that organized shortly after World War I. His friend and former comrade, Governor J. Bracken Lee, is now the only surviving member."Old soldiers never die, they just fade away".

Survived by wife, Price; one son and two daughters and spouses, Ted and Joann Thomas, Roosevelt; Virginia and Calvin Monks, Myton; Beverly and Earl Whipple, McKinleyville. Also survived by 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, brothers, Guy, Harvey and Chester, sisters, Florence and Margaret.

Public Masonic funeral services Friday, December 16, 1994, 1 p.m. Mitchell Chapel, where friends may call Thursday 9-9. Family will be at Mitchell's Friday one hour prior to services. Interment, Price City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to The Price United Methodist Church.
