The anger and aggression of Danzig will shake the roof of Saltair, Wednesday, Dec. 14. Type O Negative's gothic-laden dirge and the British spunk of Godflesh will open the show. The music begins at 7:30 p.m.

Danzig, fronted by former punk-rocker Glenn Danzig, took the alternative metal scene with his blood curdling screams that bring to mind Howlin' Wolf and Jim Morrison. He fronted both the Misfits' and Samhain before turning to metal in 1988.Danzig's first hit single "Mother" became a regular on MTV's Headbanger's Ball. The recent remix of the song has hit the Top 5 of alternative and album rock radio stations across the nation. Its recent release "Danzig 4p" features the band's energetically dark style

Brooklyn's Type O Negative's sophomore release mixes horror-movie themes with deep driving rhythms. Bassist/vocalist Peter Steele personifies the living dead with his vampirish chants and malevolent lyrics. The band recently paid its accolades to heavy metal pioneer Black Sabbath on the "Nativity in Black" tribute album.
