Neil Young admits it. He's a train nerd - with a heart of gold.
"I'm proud to be a train nerd," he says. "I think it's a good thing to be. Trains are a lot of fun."Now the singer is teaching his son Ben to be a train nerd, too, even though Ben suffers from cerebral palsy, a debilitating disease that robs him of much of his motor skills. Young created an elaborate railroad model equipped with a special device to accommodate Ben's needs.
"Ben has taught me that you never give up," Young says in an interview with Nickelodeon scheduled to air Sunday. "If there's something I come up against that's hard to deal with, I can handle it and it's because of him."
