Our dear mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away Sunday, January 30, 1994 at St. Benedict's Hospital in Ogden, Utah, following a sudden illness.
Marvel, 86, was born July 19, 1907 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a daughter of William Arthur and Selena Evans Jones. She married Edward William Harrington, June 7, 1928. Later divorced. Married Lester Jack, May 4, 1956. He passed away November 10, 1978.Lived in Roy, Utah the past 37 years. Marvel worked at Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake and St. Benedict's Hospital in Ogden as an LPN, retiring in 1970. Marvel had a great love for her family. She enjoyed her flowers and plants. She was a member of the LDS Church, being a member of the Roy 1st Ward.
Survived by her four children, Wallace G. (Naomi) Harrington, Joyce (George F.) Read, Joan (Harmon) West, all of Salt Lake City; Norman E. (Joyce) Harrington of Ogden, Utah; 15 grandchildren, 261/2 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rhea Warwick, California; Norma Kelley, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by sister, Florence Forslund.
Funeral services will be held noon Wednesday, February 2, 1994 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah, where friends may call from 10:30 - 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
