Willy Albrecht, 76, died Wednesday, February 9, 1994, in Logan, Utah of cancer.

He was born September 1, 1917 in Biberist, Switzerland to Emil and Anna Schnider Albrecht. He emigrated to the United States with his family when he was eight years old. He was a member of the LDS Church and served a mission to the Northern States from 1940-1942, traveling in Iowa, Illinois and Michigan. He served as a Scout Master and Cub Scout den leader.Willy married Afton Israelsen in the Logan LDS Temple, April 8, 1942. She died in 1948. He married Valoie Eva Allred, August 5, 1948, in the Logan LDS Temple. He was employed by the post office in Hyrum and worked as a mailhandler in the Ogden Terminal at Union Station for over 20 years. He also worked as a custodian at Utah State University.

Willy is survived by his wife; and six children, Ivan Kip Albrecht, Monroe, Wash.; Dwight Albrecht, Chandler, Ariz.; Ann Bolinder, Bennion; Bruce Albrecht, San Jose, Calif.; Eva Jensen, Ogden; and Marie Albrecht, Ft. Hauchuca, Ariz. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and one brother, Werner Albrecht, Millville. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Afton; his parents, and two brothers, Robert and Emil.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 12th at 2 p.m. at the Allen-Hall Mortuary in Logan, Utah. Friends may call at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Interment will be in the Logan Cemetery.
