Junior Julie Menefee at No. 4 singles nailed down BYU's fifth point against Texas A&M Friday night to secure the 400th dual match victory for coach Ann Valentine.

Menefee beat Lonna Logan 6-4, 7-6 to set off a brief celebration for the veteran coach, now in her 27th season at BYU.The 17th-ranked Cougars captured five of six singles matches in straight sets against A&M to run their season record to 6-1.

The Aggies dropped to 3-1.

Playing at No. 1 singles, Cougar sophomore Jennifer Saret improved her record to 15-4 with a 7-5 win over Janine Burton-Durham.

Cherie Kaneshiro at No. 3 singles, Sarah Mugnaini at No. 4 and Michelle Domanico at No. 6 also blanked their opponents in their starting sets.
