A Los Angeles Superior Court judge has thrown out a $70 million lawsuit against Roseanne Arnold filed by her sister, Geraldine Barr, in which Barr sought half the celebrity's earnings.
Arnold, in a statement, said, "I believe Geraldine brought this `sistermony' claim against me partly out of greed and partly in retaliation for my exposing the Barr family incest secret. It was yet another form of abuse by my family."Barr's suit against her sister, brother-in-law Tom Arnold and the Arnolds' attorney, Mickey Robins, claimed they violated an oral agreement under which Barr was entitled to 50 percent of Roseanne's earnings.
Barr dropped her claim against Robins in 1992, three months after it was filed. Last August, the judge dismissed the claim against Tom Arnold.
He has since sued Barr and her attorneys for filing a malicious suit, and that case still is pending.
