The Chicago Bulls traded backup power forward Stacey King to the Minnesota Timberwolves for backup center Luc Longley, 24 hours before the NBA trading deadline.

King, a four-year veteran, averaged 17 minutes, 5.5 points and 4.3 rebounds for the Bulls and missed 15 games with a sprained right ankle. King has career averages of 6.6 points and 3.3 rebounds.Longley, a 7-foot-2 center from Australia, was the Timberwolves' first-round pick in 1991. He was averaging 6.6 points and 6.0 rebounds in 49 games this season.
