Donald Richard Markovich, 50, passed away quietly February 4, 1994, at home of cancer with his family and friends by his side.

He was born February 24, 1943 in Murray, Utah to George and Rose Frkovich Markovich. Married Darlene Halling in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 13, 1968. Don was a member of St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church and an employee of Murray School District. He was an avid sportsman and has caught and released many trophy size lake trout at Flaming Gorge. Additionally he had a lifelong love of water fowl. Don will be missed by many who shared his fishing and hunting trips. Don and Darlene were able to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary.Survivors: wife, Darlene, West Jordan; children, Cindy Goff and husband, Rick, Herriman; Scott, Julie, Kristie and Shelli, all West Jordan; six grandchildren; mother, Rose Markovich, Copperton; brothers and sisters, George Markovich and wife, Kaylene, Midvale; Ron, West Jordan; Eleanor Markovich and Sylvia Boyer, both Lake Charles, Louisiana. Preceded in death by father, George Markovich.

Funeral Mass Tuesday, February 8, 1994, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church 7305 South Redwood Road, West Jordan. Rosary and Vigil service Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State, Midvale, where friends may call Monday 6-7:30 p.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society.
