An Ogden man picked the wrong time or the wrong home to burglarize Friday - he arrived as a Pleasant Grove police officer was leaving.

According to Pleasant Grove dispatchers, the 35-year-old burglar entered the home of Kurt Bean at approximately 2:40 p.m. by kicking in the rear door. However, Bean, who was just leaving the house to go on duty, heard the burglar force his way in.Bean quickly re-entered and confronted the man at the top of the stairway. He then held the suspect at gunpoint while other officers responded. No shots were fired.
