Being seen and heard by millions of people was no big deal for Miss USA Lu Parker. Returning home to South Carolina was.
"I'm overwhelmed to be here," she told reporters Friday at the College of Charleston, from which she graduated four years ago. "Finally this morning I got butterflies in my stomach for the first time since I've been crowned."Parker, an English literature teacher at North Charleston High School, has been living in Los Angeles since she won the Miss USA title in February.
She said she plans to move back home for good after competing in the Miss Universe contest May 20.
